#NowWatching The Bride! (2026) dir. Maggie Gyllenhaal

One of the best exhibitions I've seen at the British Museum. It's on until the 4th May, go check it out if you have the chance.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday!

By all accounts, a pretty mid watching week....

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier

I loved the slow, atmospheric, claustrophobic, tension building first half and then the reveal around halfway just took this to a whole new level. Rebecca's presence engulfs everything and whilst you don't know her, you do at the same time. Masterful.

Only the two this week, as fell asleep during the third one...

This list will be built upon moving forward, but at the end of February, this is how my ranking for 1960 looks.

1960 Ranked

Going through as many films from 1960 as possible and ranking them.

It took me a good third to get into Rebecca, but now two thirds in, I'm obsessed!

Happy #LetterboxdFriday!

The Secret Agent - Bold choices made with this, some worked, other didn't. Very solid.

IIHLIKY - Tense, claustrophobic and funny. Rose Byrne is sensational.

Le Trou - Tense, well done prison escape drama. Great acting and direction.

Urgh! One of the most stressful films I've seen for a long while! There's a scene here which will live rent free in my head.

As a side note, I should really start a list of films I see where people walk out of...
