Art ref: Klimt, the Medicine. (It's not the whole painting, I preferred a version focused on the character.)
I thought this one suited the Cardinal well, as the snake is very present around him.
For the background of my version, I chose to stick with skeletal silhouettes, which can be understood either as a nod to the Dance Macabre, or as the image of death and decrepitude brought on by sin
