"An error occurred". Why is this the same story with every Government procurement portal ever?

I tried "contact our Customer Support Team" about this error and the contact form sent me straight to this error page.

FFS stop wasting my time Proactis you bunch of cowboys.

Dear Apple - if you spent less time trying force your 'premium' AI crap down my throat and more time on basics like support for variable font axes then maybe, just maybe I'd be interested. (Not likely).

What’s new in web typography?

This is a question I’ll be answering at this year’s https://webdayout.com

I’ll run along the cowpaths that have been paved and spend time with the new and shiny things that bring expressiveness, fine detail, responsiveness, consistency and efficiency to your work: variable fonts in all their glory, typographic units, drop-caps, hanging punctuation, `text-box-trim`, container-aware fonts and fluid type.

Saddened to hear that the wonderful Drift Records will be closing its doors at the end Feb. Whenever I was in that part of the world (Totnes, Devon) I'd make a point of going there for a good rummage, and never came away empty handed.

I'll be sure to use my Drift tote bag next time I'm record shopping, and hope to bump into Drift founder Rupert, who is making my local shop (Resident Records) his new home.

Now read that again, this time replacing ‘broadcasting’ with ‘AI’ and imagine how different things could be if the tech giants and their acolytes took that approach rather than the complete opposite.

TIL about `initial-letter-wrap` as a handy way to wrap text around a drop cap. Sadly its 'at risk' as there is no browser support at the moment. Good candidate for progressive enhancement though.

Looking forward to reading the debut novel by my good friend @bownie
In the pub with a pale ale, my prize copy of ‘Face with Tears of Joy’ and the boy with a graphic novel. An oasis midst the hectic madness of Pride.

Me, my colleagues, and seemingly everyone else in the world who has to use Google products...

"I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that." anyone?
