Just had my biannual reminder not to use my professional account to engage with political memesters online πŸ™„ the intellectual laziness is staggering

One myth dispelled by recent #travel to #Japan was what #CovidConscious US-ians heard about publicly displayed #CO2monitoring values (a proxy of #IAQ) at various venues. I recall some folks posting about this on ye olde TwatterX site, maybe in 2022.

It's possible there might have been some movie theaters or event centers where this was true, but I didn't encounter anything like this bumbling around Tokyo for a week. There was an "isolation tank" for smokers at the Pachinko parlor, however.

I spent the weekend with some wonderful folks at the Trout Lake Abbey, a few days of meditation and mindfulness at the Mt Adams Buddhist temple. It was incredibly relaxing and centering, and I even made some connections that are shepherding me along my path. Coincidences and incidents abound when you are on the right path, and it unfolds itself as you follow them.

#Novavax stock is on fire! πŸ”₯

A few things that might be driving this...

The company is expecting to deliver a #COVID JN1 variant formulation to the global market by fall 2024. They also inked a big sounding contract with Safoni to create a COVID
-influenza combo vaccine. There is also a malaria vaccine they recently shipped to Africa.

Or it could be the excitement of the recent solar storm 🌌 fwiw stocks are often more a reflection of market sentiment than fundamentals or product quality.

Two weeks #PostCovid my sense of smell still hasn't come back.

I've been monitoring my #cardio #vitals (HR, RHR, HHR, O2 sat, BP (sys/dia)) and they're pretty good, despite inconsistent but persisting #fatigue - I tire easily. I haven't been "pushing" myself too much, but it doesn't take much to tire me out either.

My #HRH during "exertion" is slightly suspect. Lifting a 30lb suitcase was a near Herculean feat though my sleep has been off from travel which has an effect too, so who knows πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Since my positive C19 result a little while back, my sense of smell still hasn't come back. I continue taking airborne precautions as I can.

I think I got infected from an unmasked driver (parent of a sick child) with a dry cough in a vehicle with very poor ventilation (>4000ppm CO2). I wasn't allowed to crack the window open even slightly bc we'd lose AC on the six hour drive.

At #Incheon airport now, great CO2 readings in the Transfer Lounge area, many staff but few travelers masking.

When you can expect better #PPE practices and #NPI's among Asian #streetfood markets than in American #healthcare facilities... πŸ˜…

#pestilence #pandemic #humans

Huh. Not bad. I won't lie, I'm a little surprised (pleasantly surprised) at this output. I walked fairly slowly, slowed down even more when climbing stairs, but my #heartrate looks not bad.

I've been drinking boiled ginger water a few times daily- it's a mild anticoagulant and I'm hopeful it's doing some good. Beyond that consuming lots of fluids, eating mostly fruits, veggies, fish, & avoiding green tea (high in vitamin K). Time will tell how well those 3 mRNA + 2 Novavax jabs hold up πŸ’‰πŸ’‰βœ¨

This is what normalizing PPE during an airborne pandemic looks like. #Tokyo #MaskedUp
