I live in MA. But, for the last few weeks I have been driving through IA, MN, ND, SD, NE, WY, MT, and ID. Some cities, but mostly small towns.

I expected to see tons of Trump campaign signs. But, I have not seen that many. Lack of enthusiasm for Trump?? I don’t know.

What I do know is I have seen tons of farms and ranches. (corn, soy beans, potatoes, sugar beets, cattle, etc)

When I hear Trump talk about tariffs, all I can think about is what happened when he raised tariffs when he was president. Bankruptcies and suicides both rose. Will these farms and ranches be able to take the hit if he is elected again? Some might, but many will not.

If the farmers and ranchers in these communities thought about it, I believe they would come to the same conclusion. (If they haven’t already)

Our yard backs up to a forest and mice sometimes get into the attic. None this past winter and fewer chipmunks and squirrels running about in the spring/summer.

Apparently a fox pair made their den under our porch and are raising 2 kits. This one is playing on our front walk.
