QUAMED is a not-for-profit association with a mission to improve access to quality medicines for all.

QUAMED was formed in 2010 under the auspices of the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) in Antwerp with funding from the Belgian Government. Since 2017 QUAMED is an independent, not-for-profit association, initially based in France, and now based in Belgium.

During a visit to Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, QUAMED’s Executive Director had the opportunity to visit the warehouses of Asrames asbl. As recalled by its Director, Gaston Nyamambichi, the organization has been a member of QUAMED since the very beginning of the network.

In February, we advanced multiple GSDP and GMP audits, MQAS audits, remote GSDP technical visits, and CAPA plan assessments across Africa, Europe, and Asia. It has been a dynamic and productive month, reflecting our continued commitment to strengthening quality assurance systems across countries.

Excited to share that the QUAMED Online Learning Platform has reached 3,500+ professionals across 138 countries in just 20 months, with over 95% reporting new knowledge and stronger competencies in pharmaceutical quality assurance. Completion rates of up to 47.7% show real engagement in self-paced learning.
