As I search for ways humanity can consciously evolve, beyond atomistic & destructive 'power-over-other(s)' ideologies, towards #diversityrich #mutualwellbeing based on #openknowledge, tapping into #ubuntu & #goldenrule thinking, the work of Manda Scott looks more than interesting
'Belief' is one of those words that need to be handled with care, particularly when talking about a belief in something that is inherently vague or not clearly defined.
It can too easily fix a person's thinking about a subject, reducing the inclination to continue questioning it.
Better perhaps to think in terms of levels and basis of current understanding?
I wonder though how fine they really feel?
Its time for #DeepSystemsUnderstanding, putting all focused analytical understanding on single issues into the context of the system they exist within, to deepen our understanding of the interactions (and the consequences of the interactions) of all elements within systems.

In how many ways do you think your life & lifestyle are dependent on water?
Whether it is directly or indirectly (in the production of goods & services) water is very important.
That includes in #water's vital role in delivering all the #SDGs.
If you think the solution to a problem is the use of violence, then your thinking is the problem.
If you live in a society (large or small) where violence is used to address problems, then you live in a society of impoverished thinking.
Of course the people involved may well not want to refer to themselves as 'victims' but, even so, the loss they incurred was so significant to them that they cannot let it go and thus they retain a desire for retributive justice (against someone), which is often held by victims.
How much conflict, both between & within countries, is caused (or at least enabled) by BOTH sides perceiving themselves to be victims of an injustice (triggering deep emotions & 'lashing-out' behaviours) feeding spiralling patterns of mutual baiting & harm?
