@CarlMuckenhoupt In general, “accessory to ⟨crime⟩” doesn’t tend to be treated as a distinct kind of crime in its own right. Depending on the form (and timing) of their involvement, someone who acts as an accessory to ⟨crime⟩ might be charged with ⟨crime⟩ itself, with some lesser included offence, or with some other specific offence such as perverting the course of justice.
@gnomon Eat?!
@gnomon Just make sure you eat it in the dark.

@rcveeder

I’m really enjoying these—thanks for making them!

Also, today’s made me realize something that I could also have figured out from paying closer attention (or a different kind of attention) to some of the things you’ve said on podcasts: Lbh unir nfu-grafvat orsber iryne anfnyf.

@gnomon As I once said on another site:

“When, in these darker months, I don a high-vis jacket and festoon myself and my bike with LEDs for the ride home from work, I’m not thinking ‘This will prevent me from getting hit by a car’—I’m thinking ‘If I get hit by a car, everyone will know the driver was a real schmuck.’”

@CarlMuckenhoupt So, like… a doofus of pure malevolence?
@trochee
Even though I have some familiarity with regex notation, I still read “ba[rt] mitzvah” as if it referred to the first time a young person in San Francisco takes transit on their own.

@gnomon I found it sort of frustrating. There was a lot to like in the performances and design, but I never felt as if I really got to know the characters or understand (as opposed to merely identifying) what they wanted.

It might have made a really good musical if it had had more than one song, though!
