When I get mad at #USPol stuff, I try to remind myself of all the good people in this country.
A woman who is a dog-sitter mentioned to her clients that she was collecting donations for the local shelter. Within days, here's what her living room looked like.

Update: Ok, so maybe the clamps were worth it. And I hope our grandson likes the firehouse his grandpa made for him.
OT: So I asked my husband to make a firehouse for a grandson's fire trucks.
The firehouse is in progress, and the image shows the "stone" being glued and clamped down.
Somehow, I think this became an excuse for him to buy more clamps again.
"You can never have too many clamps," he assures me.

One well-known American Thanksgiving tradition is needing a nap after all that tryptophan. But what I really love about this picture is how the dog the family rescued last year cuddles my grandson and protects him while he sleeps.
It's #Halloween, so it's time for my annual tradition of posting the picture of my front porch after my daughter surprised me by decorating it for me while I was away.

I was checking the website of Legacy Health, LLC to see if they had posted a substitute notice about a breach they had reported to the Texas Attorney General's Office. There was no notice about the breach, but by golly, they had a graphic claiming they have a HIPAA SEAL OF COMPLIANCE and are HIPAA VERIFIED.
The shield also says "Compliancy group" as if that's a thing...?
Why oh why, hasn't HHS or the FTC or both ever cracked down on this misleading shite?
I am having quite a day trying to process news.
I am reading articles that tell me AI-ransomware is coming, no wait: AI-ransomware is already here, no, hold on: there's been no actual AI-ransomware incidents reported at all.
This calls for more coffee.
On a somewhat humorous note: I had mentioned in my blog post that this #NoKings protest was the first protest my husband would ever be going to in his life.
When we got there, I started taking pictures, and I told him to take some good pictures too.
So what does the volunteer at the animal shelter decide to photograph at the protest?
You guessed it: dogs wearing "NoKings" clothing or signs.
