This is why Loblaws is so hated across Canada but until the government sees them as the price fixing monopoly they are, people are stuck with them. Canada needs to get its act together and either regulate their shady practices or break them up.

Went to Superstore today (something I avoid like the plague) and discovered that they've replaced the 50% off for soon to be expired food with a new 'reduced price' system. The price is *almost* 50% off but plus 10 or 20 cents.

Now this may not seem like a big deal but consider a clear decision was made to make a whole new system with new labels just so they could fleece a few more cents out of customers for food that was already going to be wasted anyway.

A boeing 747 contains approximately 4.7 million beer cans worth of aluminum. Since I started counting, I have picked up 164 cans from the side of the road.

Challenge accepted.

Another addtion to my daughter's room. Found a sidetable on the side of the road in dire shape. Sanded it down, repainted it, and added the hearts. Not my tidiest work but it turned out ok.
