MAGA’s reckless and nonsensical trade war is backfiring.

Trade with China is being strangled, and with fewer goods coming overseas, our ports are emptying. Dock workers form the backbone of overseas trade, and their jobs will be under threat, though not for the first time.

Over a century ago, longshoremen were facing inconsistent employment, shifts in excess of 24 hours, and wages less than $11 per week (despite the companies receiving millions from the federal government).
