"Wikipedia still can't be sold," says the headline on the donation page. Which also means it can't be bought and wrecked by fascist oligarchs.

It's an Internet treasure, and it's under attack from some of the world's worst people. Elon Musk's vicious denunciation of this irreplaceable resource would be shameful for someone who had an ounce of shame.

This is one of most important donations I make each year. I hope you'll join me in supporting Wikipedia.

Could not resist trying out some (simple!) SQL in #Oracle23ai. Using DOMAIN types for LoV. Was Interesting. The resulting test/tweak/demo script is at the end of the blogpost.

eeh.. on here I might as well admit: it is Equally Easy in PostgreSQL. pg_vector worked very similar.

Vector-Search (a.k.a. Artificial Intelligence...) is Easy with #Oracle #23ai

finding the leftover typos.. That is a Challenge.

It took version 23ai and Vector-type columns to make me stop using the old exp/imp toolset for handling test-data.

Oracle 23ai: Backup of Vector Data.

TL;DR: If you have datatype VECTOR in your tables, you can no longer use exp/imp for quick-backup of (small-ish test)sets. Switch to datapum...

Checking PG day Lowlands ( @pgdaylowlands ) reminded me of mastodont. Good to see there is a world outside of the now-defunct bird-site.
