I don't often look this serious, but signing a book contract is a serious matter. I’m incredibly excited to be writing my book with Uitgeverij Ten Have. In this collection, I describe my journeys to observatories and space research institutes, driven by a desire to better understand the meaning of gazing outward from these specific locations. I see these expeditions not only as scientific adventures but also as opportunities to place humanity and its history in a broader perspective.
I was thinking, could we start a collective space agency (led by women in space), for everyone who is pro inclusivity, pro indigenous, pro women in leadership (pro - the whole list NASA deleted)? There must be someone with a lot of money, that isn't scared for the world to be a better place, right?
I think I might have a new favorite: 'The moon is the conscience of the earth'- Kierkegaard. If we consider the earth as symbolic of human existence—the moon could represent conscience, an internal reality that we may try to suppress, but it never truly disappears.
Are you all on Bluesky as well?
In these dark times, asking yourself what solidarity means, looking beyond self-interest, and performing small acts of kindness is a lifeline. Especially for my young- adult students, who are under immense pressure and (many of them) feel threatened by the current political climate. #philosoohy #artresearch

The idea was quite simple: start visiting research sites, such as radio telescopes, to allow for a more poetic approach to my PhD research, learn more about the space and place-making of research, and exchange thoughts with scientists on-site.

The first visits took me to Latvia, Denmark, and the UK.

This quite simple idea is steadily taking shape into a fascinating project. I’m deeply engaged in writing and planning, working to expand and refine this research. #phiosophy #space #science

I'm back! : ) Full on. Left Facebook - in search for an alternative for instagram (Pixelit?) and in full swing at Blue Sky!

“This is the moment to reclaim social media,” said Robin Berjon (…). “As we did with the creation of public roads and shared spaces in our towns, we must invest in digital infrastructure that operates under a social contract — benefiting everyone, not just the few.” https://www.usermag.co/p/freeourfeeds-a-30m-plan-to-take-back-social-media-from-billionaires

FreeOurFeeds is a $30M plan to take back social media from billionaires

A new project seeks to build an alternative social media ecosystem free from billionaire control, with support from Eli Pariser, Roger McNamee, Alex Winter, Jimmy Wales, and more.

So, I often get mention notifications because in 2016, I claimed the name @Philosophy 😆 The interface here is still my biggest problem with the platform. Tbh Bluesky is much more friendlier.

Hi, I'm trying Bluesky as well - trying to find an alternative on twitter. I feel Mastodon still doesn't work quite well. Please follow me there - will follow back : )

In search for films that fit's Judith Butlers ideas on gender and identity. She emphasizes the performative nature of the self, arguing that identity is not fixed but is continuously performed and constructed through social practices. Any good film fragments on this?
