He/Him. UK based.
Semi-competent (occasional commission) model painter. Master of yellow. #Warhammer and #StarWars #Shatterpoint for the most part. Trying to be a positive part of the hobby, because it’s a bright spot in an otherwise grey world.
I often ask for input on what I’m painting and a lot of ideas stem from those around. Interaction is very much encouraged
Chronically ill and invisibly disabled, just ambulating my way through everyday. Infections love me, it is not mutual.

Here is how I’m doing with Logray. Slowly been beavering away at him and making good progress. Just haven’t had the energy to actually take good enough pictures of him until today.

The model that got me back into model painting properly, something I couldn’t have forseen becoming such a fundamental part of my life again.

Especially as I went from being a highly competitive player in both Fantasy (8th Edition, Bsst Edition) and 40k.

I intend to pick up another Farseer this year and paint them up as a past//present comparison.

Also, his name is Jo’Seph

Adventured out into the real world, and to my local game store to acquire a nice variety of basing supplies so I can finally make my ideas a reality, rather than just notes in my hobby notebook.

Now the problem is that I’ve seen the multiple walls of basing stuff and I must fear for my wallet.

Wicket is finished.

Quite pleased with him, spearhead took a while to get right but the little things are always the hardest, but it does have the exact look I wanted. The fix on the splodge on the hood turned out well and I went back in with some more highlights on the hood, even if they are hard to spot in pictures.

Only Logray to go for this box before the next Ewok box gets opened.

Wicket is nice and underway, mostly done now. Just the spearhead and straps to go for the most part, and a splodge of paint that I got on the hood that I only noticed during taking the pictures.

Going to be fun trying to fix that, but at least it’s a but of the model I enjoy painting the most.

The stormtrooper helmets add a need punch of brightness and a colour that doesn’t appear anywhere else on the models.

The Ewoks themselves, with their colourful hoods and feathers do that as well, drawing the immediate attention (as should be the case as they are the main event). Being able to really play around with an array of colours for fur and hoods made these a lot of fun to paint.

Decided that instead of posting on base and then another, I’d instead get both completely done and post them together.

I really feel that I’ve managed to do much better than any of my previous bases have been. Managing to build up the texture of bark on the tress and the moss on the trees, as well as the planets growing near the fallen branches having similar colours to the greens already present.

And here is a wuick timelapse of the base.

Base the first for the Ewoks with spears mostly done, waiting on some bonus bits for the base, but for the most part this is done.

Historically, my bases suck. I find it hard to paint them and make them interesting or even just have them turn out looking somewhat accurate to what the base has on it.

But this time round, I feel I nailed mossy trees and stones on mostly bare earth.

Yub Nub for base numero dos of the Ewok Trappers. Got all the lovely little details done.

Gave this lot some bright, colourful feathers and each of them got a unique colour of their spear grips. Had quite a lot fun doing it, and now we are just the two named characters to go before working on the bases.

Spearheads were done with a nice building of a gradient, could have just drybrushed them. But thats the easy way out.
