These ants legit can't wait to die. Look at how they're taking to that bait after 2 minutes. They're so cool. Sometimes I hate that people can't live harmoniously with them around their property. Ant issues inside aren't a pest problem. They're a structural problem. Close your gaps and let them live!

Crime Dot Com was today's read. It wasn't bad. Just a history of the most noteable cybercrime incidents. I didn't learn anything new, but it was still interesting, as usual. The author makes a couple assumptions about his readerbase that I found a little silly, but maybe it wasn't aimed at SecNerds.

So, I had my ass saved by LLMs last night. Over the weekend, I had a "code-athon" if you can call html, css, and js that. By hour 30, I made a major error that I couldn't walk back in the IDE. I lost every bit of the HTML. Thankfully, I used DeepSeek to refactor sections, and I uploaded my files to do so. I was able to ask for them back, and DeepSeek spit my un-fucked website back out! A few steps behind, but way better than completely fucked. Thanks, AI overlords! Benevolent thieves and spies.

Last night I got my learning environment set back up and I recovered my data off my SATA SSD with a SATA to USB cable. I also learned how to secure a flash drive with encryption and I made a secure physical keychain. Now it's time to get some projects on the board.

I just saw the news. Val Kilmer is dead. That hit me harder than expected.
The Oliver Stone film "The Doors" has been one of my favorite movies for the past 20 years. I have read every book produced surrounding The Doors, so I get the gripes. We can argue about the minutiae of that movie forever, but it can't be disputed that Kilmer did a great job and had a genuinely good time with what Stone gave him. He was a fan. And it made me a fan of him.
