It's important to realize that, despite the hype (which, really, is just to drive the hope for profits) there are huge, insurmountable differences between AI and human beings.

AI doesn't feel, Hal on 2001 a Space Odyssey aside. It has no emotions, nor even the desire for them, like Data on Star Trek, another make believe character.

It is technology, not life. A tool, not a master.
