I firmly believe that you are the only agent of your own beliefs. It annoys me to no end when people assume "oh you're ex-muslim, so you must think this or that", but it is far more visible in the way people talk about (and certainly not with) muslims through blanket statements which enforce harmful narratives.

Yet when Palestinian ex-muslims are systematically murdered,
when ex-muslim refugees are demonised,
when transgender ex-muslims are stripped of their rights,
you choose to look away.

You don't stand up for ex-muslims, you don't even stand up for yourself. Because when the racist, sexist, transphobic fascists come for you, all you can do is appease them.

A law like this would require everyone to identify themselves in order to use a VPN. This would pose a risk to whistleblowers, violate human rights, and represent yet another step toward an authoritarian society.
