Today, we stood with Prof. Laila Soueif outside 10 Downing Street, urging Keir Starmer to act for the release of British-Egyptian writer Alaa Abd El- Fattah, who remains arbitrarily detained in Egypt.

Laila is on her 129 day of hunger strike and we remain gravely concerned for her health.

PEN International continues to demand Alaa’s immediate release.
