Somewhat against my better judgment, my house is gradually accumulating more IoT devices. I want better visibility of what they're doing/talking to. Would welcome people's advice on what I can use for this - home network in the UK, FTTP, consumer grade (not ISP provided) router. Caveats are that I can't put anything fail-closed between our main network traffic and the router (other half gets understandably annoyed if their work VPN goes down because my "weird tech stuff" falls over). Network tap? Resegment my network to put all IoT devices behind a pfSense box (difficult)? Give up and live in a state of mild, uneducated anxiety?
