Jumped the #SoFlo paddock afforded to me by birth. On a rock in the Pacific now. Greatful to be away from the mainland with it's endemic disregard for human dignity.

It's 6am and once again I'm being called upon by our 9yo tuxedo (The Porka Orca) to assume the role of food bowl bouncer.
Half a year ago my wife and I adopted a half feral male tabby (Don Cheeto) into our home. She found him trapped in the brake hub of a car in her work parking lot and intervened to extract him. As precocious as any kitten his age, the circumstances of his early captivity show up in the context of food bowl politic.
Little man is a honey badger when it comes to asserting ownership over *his* foodbowl. The tuxedo outweighs him by nearly 10 lbs. and he's had numerous clawmarks laid upon his nose.... But honey badgers have no F's to give. To make matters worse, their both fighting over the finite number of treat foods scattered among the real cat food.
