Sunday afternoon sofa book.
Had the British Isles for breakfast: Cornish cheese, English HP sauce and bacon with Scottish sausages inside a Northern Irish Soda. Apologies, Wales and the Isle of Man. I’ll get you next time.
My spot for a sneaky cigarette, odd noises coming from around the dead tree. #folkhorror

Alone for the weekend. Last weekly deadline met. A movie and some koftas. A glass of red. No books, no words.

Maybe a stroll tomorrow where I happen upon a strange object barely visible in the wet soil. Bring it home, clean it, and place it on the shelf. Then all hell breaks loose.

Currently writing an article on Russian Literature, and it takes me back to the time I read Crime and Punishment in a cold car over the course of one winter while working as a delivery driver for an Indian restaurant. Broke with a family to support. It all made more sense then than I think it ever would, which is probably why it is my favorite book. Some books, like music, sit on your timeline for a reason. Occasionally popping up to remind you. #books #Dostoevsky #life
Gravedigging on a Saturday afternoon.
Black coffee, a cigarette and a hat. The hat I bought out of my first writer’s cheque and goes everywhere with me now. Been knee deep in a Sci-Fi series of books. Averaging one every 14 days. Along with everything else, today has been the first in a while to catch a thought before it all begins again.
Drumskinny - County Fermanagh. One of the oddest ones I have visited. It reminds me of Beaghmore in Tyrone with its smaller stones and ‘dragon teeth.’ It's like a stone circle for little people. Maybe it was? #StandingStoneSunday
Dooey’s Cairn - County Antrim. A Neolithic Court Tomb. Set high in the Antrim hills, a magical place to visit. #StandingStoneSunday #StandingStones
There’s something uniquely haunting about a disused railway track.
