Hey you:

When you next get a "congrats!", a "hey, that was awesome!", or a "wow, that looked super hard, great job!"

Say thanks, but don't add "oh, it wasn't too bad" or "nah, it was fine" or "NBD".

Take the W.

You deserve a win.

Enjoy it. And enjoy folks recognizing it.

The current Twitter situation really shows why decentralised social media should be the norm. Here, this type of drama wouldn't affect the whole platform, just one server at most.

Maybe the Fediverse will never be mainstream, but that's only because being mainstream does not equal being the best option.

Hello world (again). I've been away for almost three years and the blob emojis are the thing I missed the most!
Sometimes the smile of a random person in a bus is enough to take you through your day.
What do you do to overcome that feeling of "I want to do stuff but I don't know what"? Any tips? 😅
For a workshop about the minimalist constructed language "Toki Pona", I attempted to put the entire grammar on one page, and the entire vocabulary on the other side! What do you think? What questions do you have as you're reading it? https://morr.cc/toki-pona-cheat-sheet/

An entire language on one page

So today is the "Three Kings Day" here, and according to tradition, three magical kings brought us presents this past night night (our version of Santa).

I find it so sad that other people in the town don't celebrate it because they no longer have little children.

I (20yo) live with my brother (17yo) and parents, and we still celebrate it. Making presents for everyone and discovering them in the morning is the best, no matter your age! 😄

Is someone who eats carnivorous plant vegetarian? 🤔

This came up in our last Dixit game and I can't stop thinking about it 😅

Setting goals for the new year has always felt weird to me. Sure, the last two digits of the year have changed, but my year starts in September, not in January!

September is the start of the new university course, meaning that there are scheduling changes, new people to meet, etc. That's when I think of my goals for the next "year".

My goal for this course? Listening more to people, and working on my ability to let go of my opinions when they are just wrong!

Anyway, #HappyNewYear Mastodon! 🎉
