@paul The Star Trek Universe is a big place, seems like room enough for new ideas. I liked SFA, but even had I not, still glad they added something different to canon.

@stroughtonsmith If you mean dominating the market, no. Structural issues, Windows dominance, enterprise preference, even price, make it impossible to be an iPod moment. It could be an iPad moment, though, in that there is an iPad market, and a tablet market.

@film_girl If the MacBook Impulse Buy is pejoratively too cheap, Apple will adjust quickly, but if not then what's the rationale to make a 1.0 product than this?

@stroughtonsmith I feel the same, but is it a missed opportunity or nostalgia we feel? A child born the year the iBook moniker was retired is 20 years old now.

@siracusa They should be on all platforms as a matter of principle with the implicit understanding that none of them matter except the social formerly known as Twitter, and maybe Threads.

@stroughtonsmith Yeah, we're goingf to need a "Stockholm Syndrome" term for people who start to believing predictive text is people.

@marcoarment I mean, not to put too fine a point on it, but Apple just had another record quarter. Also, making beautiful apps like Overcast for the App Store makes you a Cook regime collaborator, not a member of the resistance.

@stroughtonsmith Be careful with that Moneky's Paw! The UX shift in macOS over the years indicates Apple is now selling far more Macs to iPhone users than iPhones to Mac users.
