I’m glad I didn’t make a NY resolution about waking up early. On this, the first day of 2023, I slept until 1pm which I haven’t done in years. Maybe this is a sign that this is the year that I’ll listen to what my body needs and acquiesce. Or, maybe I’m just going to be the laziest woman alive. Either way, gonna be EXCITING.
It isn’t too awful when my dogs ask to go out in the wee hours of the morning because it’s rare and they do their business quickly. But opening the front door to thick fog and shapes moving all around in the valley that I can only hope are deer created such a horrible ruckus that I almost fell off the porch. I was left with no option but to pantless, shout a spell towards the forest in hopes that my dogs would retreat and come to safety. “COME. TREAT. BONE. CAR. INSIDE. CHEESE. TOY.”
#introduction
Hello, I’m Jennifer (she/her). I’m an angsty queer millennial who lives in the upstate of South Carolina with my wife and two kids. My journey of leaving Christian fundamentalism and processing that trauma is ongoing and best summarized as “the one having fun” in Chick tracts.
I’m interested in #accessability #deconstruction #ifstherapy and #lgbtq issues.
My favorite things are: #criticalrole #booktube & #friedokra.
