New year!
Just granted myself some studio time. Since frost might be coming, I should not fill my shelves with pieces that need to dry: it'll take a lot of power from my heater to keep them frost free. But it was nice to throw just a little...

I purchased a new kiln, but I only used it once.
Fort the winter, I cleaned out my studio: I stored everything that musn't freeze in the house.

When I find time, I work on the maintenance: the woodwork is deteriorating.

Things need time to improve; I sincerely hope we can leave the worst in 2023. As soon as my husband's back on his feet, I get a two-week break from every housejob.

Then I'll lock myself up in my studio and have a very welcome claybreak.

Update: lots of bad luck in 2023. Can't wait to start a new year with my family.

2023 Started with a diagnosis coronairy vasoconstriction and a lot of fuss over medicines and complications. Just after the summer holiday it was finally balances out: 2 weeks of happiness.
Then my husband, who had a major bypass surgery in 2022, fell of his mountainbiken and broke his collar bone. It didn't heal: just 3 weeks ago they fixed it surgical. I lost all my spare time and -energy for pottery again.

My pictures are not very professional: I just want to show you this piece. I'm presenting it at a group exhibition in our town hall next week.

It is very fragile to touch: every wipe of a finger produces a dusty smear due to the very matte/crystallised surface.

What would work best to disencourage people to touch it? Should I draw a little sign to visually remind people not to touch or does this only invite some people?

Today I found this painting from 1922; a bit dirty (pity there is a big stain) but really my taste! I paid 60 euro.

It's a snowy landacape from the Dutch painter Andre Verhorst: I am still googeling the good man. I really like his work!

Love to hang it on the wall in my (also stained and bumped) rental house that also dates from the 1920's...

I'm so sorry this account is "sleeping": due to health issues I had to pause my pottery activities, and they are my main focus for this account.

As soon as things will get better, I shall add my share of input to this great creative network :-).

What a day! So busy with new items for spring. Expanded my 60s print designs and also some new cactus print items. I just got these all waxed and ready for clear glaze. I have even more stuff I have been working on that I have not bisqued yet. I think I prob have 4 glaze kilns worth of items in process.

Aside from all this just been doing some yard work (lots of leaves to rake) and playing Valheim!
