AI art will never replicate the ideas of Jim Lee, where he splatters some ink on a page and in a few hours it's a masterful comic page. You cannot replicate the soul, or years of pain of failing to get there.
The core issue with AI art for me is the idea that typing an idea into an algorithm, besides the stealing and consumption of resources is this:
When you make art. It is painful. You have an idea and you have to sit down, plan, make thumbnails maybe even scrap multiple pages, get frustrated, stressed if you're on a deadline for the end result.
That pain and work of the process is what makes art significant. Not if the art itself is equivalent to a Jim Lee comic page.
