I generally see the opposite, countries that are more capitalist generally wear down their people with difficult, low paying jobs. They spend less on education, making their people easier to keep as wage slaves. They nickel and dime you, figuratively and literally, mentally, spiritually, and financially, until you can barely make it back to work in the morning.
This way, people are kept from protesting
