I was walking in an overgrownish part of the garden and heard a squeeking noise. I literally thought I had stepped on a dog's toy. But it was this rat who I had badly injured and then I had to mercifully finish off. That was pretty awful. 😢

Now I get to worry about the rat population of my garden which I had assumed was zero, but apparently not.

A rough skinned newt decided to stop by for a visit yesterday afternoon. Apparently these guys are fairly toxic. So don't go eating them or adding their eyes to your witch's brew.
