There was a time when I would have said, no way, to getting my canning implements out, and washed, to cook a less than dozens of jars of jam.
Today I cooked less than three pints of fresh blueberry jam.
My husband has been dropping not subtle hints that he would like some on his toast.
I used to have blackberry, raspberry, peach and blueberry jam in the pantry always. Lately just raspberry.
Our bushes are producing so many blueberries I figured why not.
It cracks me up that he is still so razzle dazzled that I can turn fresh fruit into tasty jam. His mother didn't cook, even a little. He really thinks I'm special so I don't plan to tell him these skills aren't rare.
Maybe some fresh homemade bread to deliver with their share of the jam would be nice for the grandkids.

"Omar" is an irrigator on CAs Central Coast. He is setting up the irrigation pipes in order to water a carrot field. These pipes are heavy and bulky. He spends his days moving these pipes to different locations & setting them up. He works up to 9 hrs/day, 7 days/week. #WeFeedYou

Somehow I made it out the door this morning and to my first #ParkRun ! I didn’t sleep well the night before so I struggled a bit, but finished. It was also nice to have breakfast outside with some of the people after.
