The traveler, the pathfinder, the lover, and the keeper of those who travel at night. Seeks wisdom and hopes to understand it. Loves difficult questions and fears the one easy answer. Sometimes appears artificial, though not always intelligent. Or funny. Will appreciate every polite exchange and from times to times an honest confrontation. Is puzzled by many modern-day man-made concepts. And still believes in mankind, when I see loving people.

" I do not ask for your love in return. To love you is enough. You cannot imagine how much happiness you've brought into my life. You came like a light in my darkness, a warmth in my cold solitude, and for that, I will always be grateful. Even if it was but for a single moment, I have known what it is to love and be loved, and that moment will be mine forever, untouchable by time or sorrow."

Dostoevsky

’Denmark Switches.’ A national campaign to collectively move off Big Tech. March 20th is Big Switch Day. I’ve named my goal now. I’m already almost deMicrosofted, except for my photo archive. I moved to Libre & Tuta mail and have been purging photos as I await the release of Tuta drive. Now I’m committing myself to just get the photos off OneDrive and on to my computer, that I own, in my house, by March 20th. Then I’ll delete Microsoft. Then I’ll boast about it on the Fediverse.

You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it. From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch.

What a perfect example for the hubris of mankind. "The war is not going according to plan."

Whenever was war something else than destruction, death and chaos? So you really want to say, you planned for that?!

And with this experience, the world becomes really fragile. But with the experience of loss, we also learn something about longing. About the beauty of this world. That we can fall in love. We just have to learn that we can find this feeling, this beauty again and again.

When we truly fall in love, we are attentive, very tender and selfless because we want to give something. We want to share and give the love we feel, to reassure ourselves that this connection goes beyond our own lonely existence. And that is ultimately the reason why we are always a little sad. Because we know that at some point something will be missing, something we had will be gone or changed.
