I didn’t understand the tech world, but I understood the heart behind it. And I used those tools. I learned to make little bridges between what I knew and what I dreamed.

@tofugolem That will be their bargaining chip to stop the war - they'll give him a statue 🐵
Summer wanted to know what this whole Valentine thing is all about. I tried to explain but she said that it sounds a little sketchy to her. She loves her pal with her whole heart every day and doesn't think that giving him flowers or candy would show that more than a good cuddle.
I agree sort of but don't like to pass up an opportunity to declare my love again just in case he wonders if I'm still all in after so many years.
I think I am as clear eyed as ever about what it really means to keep love alive through the highs and lows of a lifetime together. We have enjoyed more highs than lows by far and we aren't done yet.
Summer wonders if her pal can be her Valentine and mine too. I said that there is enough love at our house for all of us.
Good morning, Mastodon and Happy Valentine's Day.

I renamed Greenland. It is safe now.
This is the day the light turned around,

Didn’t blaze, didn’t shout, didn’t make a sound,

In the deepest dark it made a vow,

I’m coming back to you somehow,
Minute by minute,

Breath by breath,

The light remembers

What we forget.
@BasicAppleGuy Love your wallpaper

I was fine.
I want that on the record.

I was standing at Staples, first in line, participating in capitalism at a reasonable pace, when the woman ahead of me entered what can only be described as a serialized transaction.

There was a purchase.
Then a coupon.
Then the coupon lived on her phone and needed encouragement.
Then there was a return.
Then a reconsideration of the return.
Then the philosophical question of whether she wanted a bag.

Then came the Flankers ready to rush to the counter.

Today’s episode of Balcony Wildlife Theater:
Nibbles the Squirrel staged a daring nut heist, complete with goofy grin and full tail-coat swagger.
The crows arrived three seconds later and held what I can only describe as an angry town hall meeting.
I’m pretty sure someone called for sanctions.
Nature is healing…
but she’s also extremely dramatic.
