Fuck. Now I have a setting (module? Campaign?) In my head centering my Aberrant Alternate Ecologies:
Drochn Laethar, the Doom Beneath. An Underdark city ruled by an uneasy alliance of the Eye of Eternity, the Eldest Brain, and the Aboleth high priest of Dagon.
Populated by aboleth, Illithids, beholders, many other aberrations, and thralls from every Underdark race, as well as some willing cultists of Dagon ( especially drow and kuo-toa).

This feels like a good time for lots of non trans people to loudly state the truth that trans people are good and more out and visible trans people is good for society.
Kitschy old sci-fi fun!
Like many West African folk figures Anansi the Spider transformed upon arrival in the Americas, becoming Uncle Nancy, Aunt Nancy, and Spider, at times combining with indigenous tribal beliefs. #MythologyMonday

Things we didn't do:
- Start the fire
- Shoot the deputy
- Steal the cookies from the cookie jar

Things we did:
- Tried to fight it
- Shot the sheriff
- Put the sham in the shama-lama-ding-dong

Things we will do:
- Survive
- Rock you
- Walk 500 miles
- Walk 500 more

Things we won't do:
- Get fooled again
- Back down
- That

Things we will never do:
- Give you up
- Let you down
- Run around
- Desert you

(Oops:
- I did it again)

In 1925, Dr. Cecilia Payne completed her PhD thesis, described as β€œthe most brilliant ever written in astronomy.” At a time when few #women entered academia, Payne discovered what the universe is made of. Her work began a revolution in astrophysics.

Dr. Payne-Gaposchkin became the 1st female professor & 1st female department chair at Harvard. Given most of us remember names like Darwin & Newton, we should also celebrate Payne. #science #space

January 1, 1925: Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin and the Day the Universe Changed

Hey #TTRPG friends, how about we do something fun? Since we're all getting used to this new home, maybe we can generate some fun content together!

So, I invite everyone to make a little one-page micro dungeon/adventure and to post it with the tag #mastodungeon

(P.S. if you think this is a cool idea, please Boost this message so more folks see it)

Unpopular opinion: we should normalize black people coming to Mastodon, being safe and speaking their minds.

They might talk about internal discomfort and biases we might hold.

It's not their responsibility to educate us. It's our responsibility to create a place where black people are accepted.

I was looking at the news this morning and I think it's the perfect time to bring this up.
