They want you to believe that a society that centers the needs of the most vulnerable & most marginalized would be worse for you. They don't want you to understand that a society that did this would be much better for you & that you are as disposable to them as we are.
They bank on you taking a dismissive attitude towards us, pathologizing, stigmatizing & sacrificing us bc that’s easier than listening to us & considering that what we’re seeing/saying is quite possibly what’s actually happening.
I just want to let people know that I likely won’t be posting here often in the beginning as I learn the parameters and culture of the platform.
I will also not be using filters or trigger warnings on my body or experience as a Black disabled person, only doing so if I know it will increase harm to my Black and/or disabled peers.
Who I am is not triggering, how I am treated is.
