Want to tell the world of your new domain name? To set it as the default #ENS domain for your #Ethereum address, head to https://app.ens.domains and pull up your MoonCat's subdomain. Click the "Set as primary name" button and confirm it in your wallet. 😺

#MoonCat subdomains are free to all MoonCat owners (no renewal fee needed). Anyone can pay the gas to announce a MoonCat domain (not just that MoonCat's owner), so go check your friends' profiles too, and gift them an announcement! 🎁

Did you know all #MoonCats have an
#ENS domain they can claim, to always point to their current owner? Check it out by heading over to the MCNS tool https://mooncatrescue.com/mcns, click "Jump to your own address", and then the "Pending" tab.

Click a MoonCat (or several!) and then the "Announce" button. Your wallet will prompt you for a signature.

Once that confirms, the "Announced" tab will show all the subdomains now pointing at your address.

If you have #MoonCats waiting for you, your first stop should be the Acclimator (https://mooncatrescue.com/acclimator), which will enable your MoonCats to participate all around ChainStation Alpha.

Then jump into the #Discord at http://discord.gg/mooncats to connect with other MoonCat lovers! 😺

Are you a hipster who has been in #Ethereum so long you've forgotten some of the first projects you played with? Let's check and see if you have some #MoonCats from the MoonCatRescue project waiting for you:

Start by heading over to https://mooncatrescue.com to board ChainStation Alpha. On ChainStation, click the "Connect" button, and it will change into your address. Click your address to go to your own Owner Profile page. Do you have a "MoonCats Rescued" section?

Bitcoin is in the news again, following a recent Executive Order about a national reserve of Bitcoin being established. If you're curious or confused about #Bitcoin, #cryptocurrencies, or #blockchain technology in general, feel free to drop a comment and I'll do my best to help out!

As a software developer I've been active in the cryptocurrency space since 2012, and have done several #educational presentations on it to local groups, so I have some deep experience with it I'd be happy to share.

@CryptoNewsLttr are there other gold-backed (or silver-backed) tokens besides #Paxos #PAXG and #Tether #XAUt that you think are worth looking into?

@derek I pulled my reply, as my initial assessment quickly became outdated. Currently the memo that enacted specific freezes that was worded in a way to seem like pretty much every form of aid was frozen has now been reverted. So currently there's only the Executive Order giving instructions to dissolve federal DEI programs, and no specific freezes, I think?

Hopefully future clarifications to the EO will only freeze payments known to be bad/fraudulent/wasteful, and not just "all payments".

Happy Lunar new year! If you're curious how the #lunar cycles line up with the Gregorian #Calendar months this year, I created a #tool for making those sort of charts:

https://observablehq.com/@midnightlightning/lunar-phases

Lunar Phases

A moon calendar, focused on the lunar cycles, not the Gregorian calendar months. In this calendar, Lunar Cycle number one starts when first New Moon of the Gregorian calendar year happens. For each day within the cycle, the number in the top-left is the ordering within the lunar cycle. The label in the bottom-right is the weekday name abbreviation and calendar day for that date in the Gregorian calendar. Blue-shaded days are weekends in the Gregorian calendar.

Observable

What's your favorite (stable, least-likely to de-peg) inflation-resistant (e.g. CPI-adjusted) #stablecoin (#flatcoin)? I've seen mention of FPI (FRAX) and SPOT (Ampleforth); any others should I look into? 🤔

@beitmenotyou_com This seems like an overly-generic take on NFTs? While there are sections for multiple different industries it seems the key features you emphasize of #NFTs are just repeats.

You call out receiving secondary market royalties multiple times, but that is not an intrinsic part of "NFTs" but rather the marketplaces/platforms that currently support them (note how OpenSea has changed whether or not it enforces royalty payments multiple times).
