Hi.

My name is Mayara de Mendonça Berdeville Baptista, I'm 28 years old and I study Art History at UFRJ (Rio de Janeiro' Federal University). I also try to sell my art online, because I don't have the networking or soft skills to sell art in the traditional way.

Oi oi pessoal!

BONS ESTUDOS!

I tried to draw a black Strawberry Shortcake🍓🍓🍓, but the water-based markers almost tore the paper and blurred the outlines. I'm still learning how to use them.

There's a strawberry farmers' festival in Nova Iguaçu, a city near Rio de Janeiro close to my neighborhood, Pavuna. After a long hiatus due to creative block and depression, I'm getting back to drawing again.

The festival is inspiring me to do strawberry-themed drawings 🥰🍓🍓🍓 I think I'll do more art based on this fruit.

There will be a strawberry festival in the city of Nova Iguaçu, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. I was excited because I thought it was cute, but I discovered that in a neighborhood called Tinguá, there are strawberry farmers who plant and sell the fruit.

I kind of loved the idea of local farmers throwing a strawberry festival and it inspired me to make this meme of a cat dressed as Strawberry. I don't know if it's similar to the original, but it was fun to make.

Guys, I'm back on social media to post my illustrations and sell my art.

No, I DON'T WANT TO BECOME FAMOUS.

It's the same thing as someone who sells cakes or snacks, creating an Instagram.

The worst part is that I've been posting several times that I don't want to be famous, I just want to sell my art and it seems like there are people who DON'T UNDERSTAND.

IN FACT, I POST THAT I DON'T WANT TO BE FAMOUS, I POST BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO WORK ON THE INTERNET AND NO, I MEAN, NOT TO BEAN INFLUENCER

I JUST WANT TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE AND SELL MY ART, I DON'T WANT TO BE FAMOUS OR AN INFLUENCER.

I JUST WANT TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE AND SELL MY ART, I DON'T WANT TO BE FAMOUS OR AN INFLUENCER.

I JUST WANT TO CONNECT WITH PEOPLE AND SELL MY ART, I DON'T WANT TO BE FAMOUS OR AN INFLUENCER.

Thank you.

Since I was a child, I have been called crazy, insane and weird. To me, this was derogatory.

Until I saw in the threads a queer person, who had episodes of mania and psychotic episodes, appropriate the insult "crazy" and "insane", as a form of empowerment, because a crazy person is someone who deviates from the norm, who is different, and many oppressed people have appropriated their pejorative names to assume an identity. So, from now on, when someone calls me crazy, I will say: I really am!

Some drafts that I have to finish.

These are from personal projects, there are also commissions that I haven't even finished.

ATTENTION: I DON'T SHOW MY DRAWINGS ON SOCIAL MEDIA TO BE AN INFLUENCER AND BECOME FAMOUS.
I DON'T HAVE A NETWORK, NOR SOFTSKILLS AND I AM AN EXCLUDED NEURO DIVERGENT. MY ONLY WAY TO TRY TO EARN SOMETHING WITH ILLUSTRATION IS BY TRYING TO SELL MY ART ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
