Waiting for a train at Herne Hill station. Its one of my favourite mainline stations in London. It’s in Zone 2, so close to town, but if you lookSouth along the line - away from the city, you see the transmitter tower at Crystal Palace. Its also more or less below the approach path from the East for planes landing at Heathrow, so at night often the sky is busy with navigation lights. Anyway I took some pictures which don’t do it justice.

London, Central London at least, has become a theme park version of itself. However, going a bit out of town you still find London that looks like the backdrop to a Muriel Spark novel. I went for a coffee in an art gallery in Camberwell this morning. Can thoroughly recommend.
