One thing I have been pondering is if the rise of Comic Book films is directly tied with a need for escapism and straight forward heroism in our day and age.

It feels often that when the world may seem particularly harsh, that people tend to gravitate less towards the introspective and more towards the spectacle.

For all of Ultraman Powered's flaws, WINR was honestly a great defense team cast

Fellow writers: what do you do if you're in the middle of editing a book but you suddenly have an idea for a different book and you really want to get it written?

One of the things I always liked about #Ultraman Jack was the fact he was kind of a lanky looking Ultra. It made him stand out from the others somewhat.

Was rewatching the old #Anime Grimms' Fairy Tales and I find it interesting how a few times they had to alter the story slightly to allow the Japanese audience to understand the tale's context better (IE changing Puss in Boot's ogre to a generic Demon King).

They really need to stop the whole "Seemingly good organization ends up being Evil" plots. They are incredibly irritating.

Happy New Year!
Watching Top Hat (1935) and it's such a light fun film. It's not terribly deep of course but sometimes you just have to watch a #movie like that.
Your #history fun fact: France once put a man on trial for "breaking the laws of theater". (more or less).

The Thin Man is a Christmas movie and I'm ending the holiday season with it!
