Recently I discovered an on-device grammar checker called Harper: https://writewithharper.com/

Right now I am trying to make a MarkEdit extension based on it.

We have recently introduced YAML front matter syntax highlighting and rendering support.

Explore the latest MarkEdit build along with the updated MarkEdit Preview extension for the new capabilities.

I've received several complaints about the update alert before.

Going forward, app updates will appear as a menu bar item, so they won't interrupt your current tasks, unless you check for updates manually.

I hope this approach helps keep you more focused.

With the upcoming update, we’re improving MarkEdit’s integration with the file system, including:

- File autocomplete
- Finder extension for creating new files

With the upcoming update, you’ll be able to add any menu item to the toolbar — including default items, extension-created menus, and submenus.

v1.27.0 is now available: ready for macOS Tahoe with a fresh new look and Foundation Models support.

Interfaces have been implemented: https://github.com/MarkEdit-app/MarkEdit-api/commit/fbfb08f1b34c53651a2566543f90e011a2d286d0

The recording is a demo extension (WIP).

We're introducing new APIs in https://github.com/MarkEdit-app/MarkEdit-api for user scripts to access Foundation Models on macOS Tahoe.

In addition to general bug fixes and improvements for macOS Tahoe, we've enhanced the app to provide better support for custom themes.

Improved a little bit.
