#HinduismBad ideas are not new but did these ideas get new legs because of social media or was it riding the backlash of privilege loss from race, caste and gender? Is it both or is something else? What are your thoughts?
Bad ideas will have bad consequences. In less than a decade the ascension of strong men and the spread of ultra nationalism in India, China, Russia, US and elsewhere has made the world a measurably darker place.

BJP is pushing for hundreds of voters to be deleted in a Muslim-dominated Bengaluru area
Hundreds of voters, particularly Muslims and Dalits, in Bengaluru’s Shivajinagar constituency could lose their spot on the voters’ list with the Election Commision initiating action against them on the basis of a contentious complaint by activists of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The complaint, which the opposition has described as malicious and communally motivated, was filed in October last year and alleged that 26,000 fake voters had been identified as either shifted out or dead in the constituency.
