Despite the ideological nature of Mastodon I declare: I categorically deny any ideology and it can be said clearly, that I despise people who make themselves dependent on any ideology.
No matter how I look at her, she is absolutely gorgeous, amazing, adorable ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

(07) - Social media did not only collect all their statements and made them evaluable with machine support, they offered a new way of manipulation, because it was and is easy to pay individuals to spread messages, making it easy to spread specific messages created by whoever (psychologists...?) to influence millions of minds, because... who really knows, who post statements on such websites? You only see some inconspicuous and meaningless profile names...
(06) - One had to study letters written to newspapers, had to work hard to get an imagination of the "social climate" 'pro' or 'contra' those, who initiated lots of such campaigns. Social media though revolutionized this feedback and made it common. Even more the masses loved the simplified way of gossip and ... did not even understand, that their heavy use of this media helped "steer" their minds in a completely new and effective manner...
(05) - is it really that easy? Is it not more like the permanent try to provocate people? Would a big company have real interest in bully individuals? Would that make an economical sense? What is the goal of companies? Be economically profitable...? But again: What if this is not the only "task" of social websites? In former times it was extremely hard to get feedback from people when something relevant for the masses was changed - right?
(04) - On the other hand social media can be used - and _ i s _ u s e d _ - to 'train' the masses into things like ideological garbage. Where did masses of propaganda during the last years come from? The big spreaders were...? Influencers on Meta (and all it's websites), Google (and it's sites like YouTube), X and reddit. So is it really a surprise to see such websites bully people? But...
(03) - If ever some dubious campaign is running (like the - allegedly - protesting farmers... social media collected the whole bandwith of reaction coming from the masses, right? These "protests" were strongly organized - throughout several countries around the world - and for sure _ n o t _ by farmers. Farmers were only the marionettes, but social media delivered a rich collection of feedback.
(02) - By this one can see, that social media is _ n o t _ social, but mostly anti-social and in my eyes also not made for "entertainment". Imagine... the necessary hardware isn't owned by average individuals... it belongs to "Big Money". What if 'classical' social media is first and foremost made to supply "Big Money" with information about us?
(01) - I'm deeply disappointed to see, that with reddit a second (after X, the former twitter) social website begins to bully and discriminate me. My login date is discarded without any reason. I'm an ideology-denying person and ... of course (because of that) critically commenting at some degree - but interestingly almost never on reddit, but more on X and YouTube...
