@iwein The flowers are still in bud, so it is really hard to say whether they are on a male or female. Check again in a few days and look for anthers. There are images of kiwi flowers on the web you can compare them to once they open.
@Sempf If you have both a male and a female plant the female may have made seed and what you have is a new plant.
@somcak Go with seeds for the carrots and the radishes. You can use seedlings for the lettuce and spinach. And I think cucumber seeds germinate so well that I would use seeds for those too. But you can’t fit more than two cucumbers in a 12-inch pot, so depending on the cost of seeds, it might might be cheaper to pick up two seedlings instead.

@littlemiao Thanks. Here are the colors looking to the west.

David Attenborough turns 100 years old on the 8th of May.

He is a human who has spent his time loving the diversity of life on this planet. His documentaries helped emphasise the biodiversity crisis while also infectiously spreading this love of other species.

My partner and I are thinking of having a small, gentle event on the day to recognise his life. Maybe a walk with friends, taking moments to stop and acknowledge the creatures around us.

Want to join us, wherever you are in the world?

#sunrise Apalachicola Bay
Scared up some sting rays and watched ospreys feeding chicks today. Pretty glorious day in Apalachicola Bay, just off St. George Island in the panhandle of Florida.
@BathNature wonderful news
