the standard for more "serious" open world tactical shooters like Delta Force and WW3. Curious to see where the genre goes from here.

So far, Delta Force seems to be an interesting mix between BF 2042 and more traditional tactical shooters. Still not too hyped about their choice to use Operators (which I get, its the Zeitgeist) but the gamefeel is very nice. Leaning + no slide seems to be (1/2)

I literally have the worst luck with big projects. Every single time I've had a big project (EDM rock opera, mobile trance remix, Counter Strike map design) a software update completely wipes it out. I must be the worst tech for myself in existence. 0% redundancy.

Incredibly discouraging, though. I put a lot of time into cs_creditunion. I can't seem to access the file in any way, even with several different Source SDK versions of Hammer installed. Whatever. I learned a lot of the basics that will hopefully transfer to Hammer 2.

Welp, with the release of CS:2, the CS:GO Source SDK tools went with it, which means the map I was working on in the CS:GO SDK is gone :( guess I'm gonna have to start over from scratch when the CS:2 SDK comes out. I guess mapmaking on Source 2 will be fun, though. I hope.
