watching the #NoKings protest coverage while on a trip to the EU. trump supporters are such cowards it is infuriating me.

keep up the good work folks over in the states, and keep it non-violent. these cowards know nothing more than provocation and bad faith. we WILL defeat them.

We are now officially using @forgejo! The Fedora Forge is ready for contributors to start migrating to. Cutoff for switching from Pagure is by Flock to Fedora 2026.

While Pagure.io has been a vital part of our community for many years, the time has come to retire our homegrown forge and transition to this powerful new tool.

Random insight for the world: shipping the license for your software with your software is required and also good project hygiene.

A project that claims a license but doesn't include its terms is ambiguous.

Despite what you may think, just saying "hurr durr im MPL" (or Apache or whatever) isn't enough. If the software is non-interactive, you need the license shipped so it can be read by the consumer separately. If the software is interactive, it needs to be exposed *somewhere* in the app too!

"That invisibility has created a misconception, in some quarters, that #RSS is a relic. But the opposite is true: we’ve never relied on it more. And as the social web fractures, as platforms wall off content, and as AI agents begin remixing everything they can ingest, our dependence on neutral, open standards for distributing information is about to become existential."

Why RSS matters

The future of the web depends on simple, open standards.

TIL: @NetworkManager 's `nmcli dev wifi` shows available networks nicely, is colored and even has a small graph:

i mostly dislike the metrics on github, i mean i do find them interesting but they feel too much like a "high score" measuring tool.

that said, several years ago my "numbers" were much higher and i was musing to myself that i'm getting older and slower and whatnot. but, i had a realization, i stopped doing all my weekend/personal hacking on github in favor of codeberg and my local gitlab.

i think that explains it more than anything.
