I love these ornate Victorian-style cast iron benches as there's just so much going on. This particular example is in Fountain Gardens in Paisley, but you can also find them in the Kibble Palace in the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow.

Buttonhole #knitting
Some of you asked how to make a buttonhole. Here’s one in garter stitch. Stay tuned for how I make buttonholes in linen stitch.
✨👉 Make 3 backward loops, slip next 2 sts knitwise one by one, pass first slipped stitch over the second, slip stitch back to left hand needle, k2tog. You have now bound off 2 sts but cast on 3 sts. On next row, when you come to the buttonhole, k 2 backward loops, then k2tog, i.e. knit the last backward loop together with the following st 🧶 🧶 🧶
