Sadie T.M. Alexander fellow at NSSR exploring the political economy through heterodox methods.

Hello I am Lo Sontag. I am from LA now live in NY Metro where I am a fellow at The New School.

Typically I explore & writes about the US political economy with a focus on inequality, racism, urbanism and the climate crisis using heterodox methods.

Picture so you know I am not a bot.

@ruud @JeriLRyan @robertdmcneill I love Star Trek as it is a nice example of pragmatic Utopianism. There is no clear bad guy. There are unhelpful actions. We need more sci-fi like that. People seem to read dystopian fiction as how to guides, rather than warnings.

Studies says people without jobs are sad, so the solution is guaranteed labor to make them happy. That is the thesis of guaranteed labor in the US. In the US which totally does not have a history of forced labor and some of the worst working conditions in the over developed world I can’t see that going wrong. I can’t see that impacting bargaining or forcing historically excluded group to an even more narrow lane of labor choices.

Oh you will deal with the US racism problem later…yeah OK.

@DAGreenwalt definitely agree. Acela is great, but it needs to be more often and all over the country. A better Amtrak (and US commute generally) is possible. If I want hop on a train on a weekend to go to Philly from NY it should be easy.
@BTU_Geopedology I am hoping the star is like the like feature on other social media. Great job.
@myownpetard I think of you just click the earth to the side you can see most people on the sever. I was also confused by this. I spent quite a bit of time trying to join the most productive server, and it doesn’t seem to matter.
