I watched #OneBattleAfterAnother and the fact that parts of it are adapted from a Pynchon novel explains almost everything about this movie. Great performance, looks great, seems like it can't quite figure out what it wants to say:

#AdAstra was a beautiful movie-- probably the closest I've seen a sci-fi movie come to capturing the visual style of #2001ASpaceOdyssey. But it felt... empty.
Toxicity in fandom is ruining sci-fi and fantasy. Can't we all just have nice things? (BTW, #StarfleetAcademy is genuinely getting good!)
