I've tried to refrain but I absolutely must share with you how to make these Cappuccino Icebox Cookies. They are that tasty and convenient to make.
Gather: .25 t (teaspoon) powdered instant coffee; 1 t vanilla extract; 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature; .5 cup sugar; .5 cup packed brown sugar; 1 t ground cinnamon; 1 large egg; 1.5 cups all purpose flouf;.25 cup shivered almonds
In a tiny bowl dissolve coffee in vanilla.

Today I bought this cocktail book only because it was too cheap to pass up ($1.04). It's proving interesting. One of their recommended liqueurs is Cherry Advocaat. I have Advocaat, mostly as a curiosity, but have never seen a recipe calling for it. Likewise it's cherry sibling.

My $4.89 book rack beats having all these books landing on my head but I wish I could clearly see them all. And I foolishly thought my Dead & Co and Brad Thomas Parsons books might fit, too. Still, it has easy access and is small. I'd like to find a slim rotating tower with large enough shelves for taller books but imagining better things is what makes the hunt so pleasurable. #library #books #organization
