Clinging to walls of one of most #radioactive buildings on Earth, scientists have found a strange black fungus curiously living its best life.
Fungus called Cladosporium sphaerospermum, and scientists think its dark pigment – melanin – may allow it to harness ionizing #radiation through a process similar to the way plants harness light for photosynthesis. Proposed mechanism is referred to as #radiosynthesis.

I mean two things can be true at once - the budget carrier business can be a complete fugaze that never worked without artificially suppressed interest rates and was at this point, pretty much a long con job for a bailout...

and, the reason Spirit went under NOW is because of fuel costs associated with Trump's unhinged criminal war against Iran.

Like both of those things ARE objectively true. Trump doesn't get to say he didn't break it but also that whole industry is underwater and flailing.

@freyablekman @association @DPGPhysik I once told my advisor, that ol greybeard I felt like I had tricked everyone into believing I was supposed to be there and one day all the plates I’m spinning would fall and everyone would laugh at me for being a fraud.

He took me with him on a walk, knocking on the door of every professor in the department, “David, do you ever feel like the dumbest kid in the building? Yes? And you still come to work? Thanks” shuffle to the next office. “Lisa, do you ever feel like the dumbest kid in the building?” And so on

He told me it doesn’t go away, you just learn it means you’re doing work that’s just at the edge of your reach.

I had to tell him they were in Japan.

And like I am definitely talking about "putting Nazis in prison" here but I don't have to be - it applies to more or less everything. I can't remember the exact numbers but the vast majority of the New Deal happened in a matter of a few months. When you're serious about making a change - you get it done. When you don't want to and you're trying to distract your voters long enough to find a way to NOT do it, you "cross all your t's."
