It’s hard to believe, but, already 10 years ago, a group of friends in Budapest launched Cargonomia. 🎉🚲🌱🐌 Cargonomia is a degrowth cooperative bringing together organic farming, cargobikes, low-tech, reciprocity and enjoyment of life. Thanks to all the co-founders (Orsolya Lazányi, Logan Strenchock, Levente Erős, and Adrien Despoisse) and partners, first Cyclonomia, Zsamboki Biokert, Kantaa just to mention the first ones… Together we launched a cargobike sharing system, we organized the 5th International Degrowth Conference in Budapest in 2016, we developed a type of open university welcoming every year around 10-15 students, and we contributed to an action research PhD. So many videos, podcasts, photos, articles, interviews have been made on Cargonomia. We also co-contributed to several books, in particular the upcoming Routledge Handbook of Degrowth with Anitra Nelson. But most importantly, we are still alive and we still have the same enthusiasm to develop projects and welcome nice people. A cob house renovation is underway and a nice celebration party will be organized on the 10th of May in Budapest. Links below…

It's been hard not to be flabbergasted by Donald Trump's return to the White House. And yet, all we are witnessing is, no more and no less, the most caricatured but assumed, unfiltered form of the dominant model of society that we have been living in for several centuries.
