Steam announced Steam Machines, a ridiculously elegant PC that will probably be both overpriced and underperforming.
I don’t even really see how I could insert it in my household for it to make sense.

Yeah but like I said on my last post, mangohud doesn’t work for every game.

Slay the Spire and Darkest Dungeon for example, don’t display MangoHud.

So yeah, my BIG issue this week has been to find an equivalent to Afterburner for fps count, and for the nvidia windows drivers with the possibility to set a global fps cap.

Very, very unconclusive for now.

I mean MangoHud works, when it feels like working. Which is certainly not what I’m looking in a fps limiter. Tested 4 games, 2 didn’t display anything.
It’s too bad because I like the look of it.

I don’t use a lot of the classical problem cases like photoshop or whatever, so the list is limited.
I really need a fps counter and limiter, though, and so far my attempts have been unconclusive at best.

Once I’m done going linux (and good luck to my mental health in case of trouble), I’m taking a deep look at shit corps like google that compare climate activists to extremists.
Need to find a search engine.

And use Proton Drive.
