It was the best game, it was the worst, there can’t be in between in a game that is so hyperbolic. You can feel the passion of the dev, so many fun sequences and winks at classic sci fi works. So long, So hard toward the end (the last level fucked up my nerves for the day)
I can totally agree with people saying it’s too long or uneven, but at the end of the day when it works it works so well that you need to lie down and take a cig.
Incredible, while admittedly too twitchy for me.

Hey, I played a game. Through completion. There is hope for me !
Though it consisted of shooting people in the face and this is a passion of mine, that and horror books.
I’m in a tremendous mental place, yeah.
But anyways, I finally played Turbo Overkill. 20 hours and change, I think.

Steam announced Steam Machines, a ridiculously elegant PC that will probably be both overpriced and underperforming.
I don’t even really see how I could insert it in my household for it to make sense.
So obviously, I’m in. Gimme.
Yeah but like I said on my last post, mangohud doesn’t work for every game.
Slay the Spire and Darkest Dungeon for example, don’t display MangoHud.

@[email protected] those are easy ones, what you want is MangoHud and libstrangle, both work well with steam and most other launchers. steam also has a built in fps counter you can turn on in settings/in game that's really nice, they're both in repo on most distros. but the main source is here otherwise. https://gitlab.com/torkel104/libstrangle https://github.com/flightlessmango/MangoHud
So yeah, my BIG issue this week has been to find an equivalent to Afterburner for fps count, and for the nvidia windows drivers with the possibility to set a global fps cap.
Very, very unconclusive for now.
I mean MangoHud works, when it feels like working. Which is certainly not what I’m looking in a fps limiter. Tested 4 games, 2 didn’t display anything.
It’s too bad because I like the look of it.
I don’t use a lot of the classical problem cases like photoshop or whatever, so the list is limited.
I really need a fps counter and limiter, though, and so far my attempts have been unconclusive at best.

Once I’m done going linux (and good luck to my mental health in case of trouble), I’m taking a deep look at shit corps like google that compare climate activists to extremists.
Need to find a search engine.
And use Proton Drive.
Fuck every corp. They are not our friends. Why threat them like one.
